Alaska July 2010

I haven't done a post in a while, we have been pretty busy doing lots of different stuff. Just busy with life I guess. I am now a little over 17 weeks pregnant and we can't wait to find out what we are having hopefully around 20 weeks. I have an appointment tomorrow that I am excited for, we'll probably just hear the heart beat but I love hearing it and could listen to it all day! Here are some pics of some of our July activities.
Here we are at the Bear Paw festival parade in Eagle River.
Branden's brother Blake and his wife Melissa and their 6 week old baby Boston came and visited us for about 8 days, we did a ton of fun things while they were here. Just to warn you there are a TON of pictures on this post!
First, we went camping and fishing at the Russian river along with some other friends. We had so much fun, but failed to catch any salmon, I think we just have bad luck fishing!

Mommy Melissa and baby Boston

Branden fell in the ice cold river and filled his weighters up with water! It was pretty funny, but scary at the same time, I thought he was going to drown for a few seconds!

Cute baby Boston, I couldn't get enough of him!

The pic above of the elk turned out so good it looks like a painting!

Some more cute pics of Boston!

The last day Blake and Melissa were here we drove to the Matanuska glacier and walked around on it, it was amazing! One of the coolest things I have ever seen! Here are some pictures while we were at the glacier

Thanks for coming guys we had a blast! We will miss you!

Camping/Fishing

We went camping/fishing last weekend together for the first time since summer of 2007. That is because this is the first summer we have spent together since 2007, CRAZY! We went about 2 hours North of where we live to I think it was called Montana Creek, that was after we got half way and realized we forgot Branden's fishing licence and part of our grill that actually makes it work, so we turned around got the stuff and headed back, we were determined to go camping! The camp spot we ended up staying at was $25 a night! Um...we could almost stay in a cheap motel! Oh well I actually love camping, mostly for the food. We made hobo dinners wich were amazing and had pancakes eggs and potatoes for breakfast...yum! One of the best parts for me was this little ice cream shop we stopped at on the way home, it was SO GOOD! Ignore the no-makeup pig-tailed homeless girl on the left and look at my hot hubby!
Boys suck! They look good no matter what!

One of Branden's friends from work came with us because he was going to go camping by himself so Branden invited him to come with us, he was really nice. Here they are in his raft attempting to catch some king salmon. Yes, attempt and failed...too bad

It was crazy busy combat fishing where we were, if you look close you can see how many people were there fishing, that was not even half of them! We saw some of these people catch some huge king salmon, I wish we would have gotten one!
It was a short but fun camping trip, we are planning on going this weekend too because Branden has a 4 day weekend, yay!
Have a good safe 4th of July weekend everybody!

Made in Alaska

So, if you haven't heard it through the grapevine yet, I'm pregnant!!!!!
I am 11 weeks tomorrow! It was hard to hold in for so long, but I couldn't wait any longer! Branden wanted me to wait a lot longer, like until right before we had it...like that would ever happen! Here is my 9 weeks 1 day ultrasound.
Here is proof...this was right before mother's day, they were pretty faint positives,
but positives none the less!!
So, here's how I told the families... I got these moose which had scarves and hats on, so I took them off and hot glued a binki to their mouths. I bought some onesies and created this graphic on my computer and printed it on iron on paper.

I think they turned out cute! We sent one to my mom and step dad, my dad, and Brandens parents. They got them on Monday the 14th and were supposed to open the package on Fathers Day, but somehow that didn't happen, oh well I was anxious to have them open them anyways!

They were all excited, and we are too!!!
Happy Fathers Day!
