Easter in Utah

This post may be a month late, but better late than never I guess! Jaxen and I came to went to Utah for a couple of weeks at the end of March-beginning of April. So we were there for Easter. Jaxen had a cold so we didn't end up going to the Hooper Easter egg hunt, but here he is at Grandma and Grandpa Bingham's doing the hunt for prizes in the field! He got a lot of fun prizes and candy! It was fun!

He loves Balls!

Later we went to Great Grandpa Jones' for dinner and another Easter egg hunt

Jaxen was more interested in balls that were in the backyard :)

Jaxen's a year old!

Dear Jaxen,
You are the best! I can't believe you are a year old! You grew up way too fast! Here is a list of things you are doing these days:
  • you give momma and dadda the best hugs, we love them so much!
  • you know where your ears are
  • you can say nanna when you see a banana
  • you say "bask" for basketball and love when daddy lifts you up to put the ball in the hoop
  • you love Kenai and sometimes feed him your food
  • you climb up and down the stair easily and love to be chased!
  • you lay down your head on my chest when I say "lay down"
  • you lay your head down on anything that is soft...blankets, stuffed animals, laundry out of the dryer
  • you love to be on your stomach in the bathtub so you can stay warm, and sometimes you drink the water.
  • you love your binki and love to have a binki in your hands as well as in your mouth when you go to sleep.
  • sometimes you chew on your crib
  • you clap your hands when we sing "if you're happy and you know it clap your hands"
  • you wave "hi" and "bye" to almost everybody
  • you get into everything...the cabinets, momma craft stuff, kenai's food and water...
  • you'll eat basically anything and we can never seem to get you full!
  • most of the time you sleep 12 hours at night, and two-2hour naps during the day
  • you have 11 teeth
  • you love playing with balls
  • your kind of a small guy, 20% for height and weight.
  • you walk everywhere and don't really crawl anymore
  • you know that remotes control the tv and our lights
You bring so much joy into our lives, we don't know what we ever did without you!
Love, Momma and Dadda

Jaxen's Birthday!

I can't believe our baby is 1! Why does time have to go by so fast? It seriously seems like it was yesterday that I was holding him for the first time... I can't even describe my love for him, other then he is my EVERYTHING!
The morning of his Birthday, we heard Jaxen awake just chatting away, so Branden and I went into his room together and sang him Happy Birthday, he had this look on his face like, "what the?" and when I picked him up out of his crib he was so happy and kicking his legs, so cute!
I made him some french toast for breakfast, he played and then went down for his morning nap, such a sweetheart...

After his nap we headed to Pueblo Colorado to the Buell Children's Museum

We just let him go wherever he wanted, and play with whatever he wanted to, he is so busy and seems to always have his own agenda, going from one thing to the next! First thing he saw that looked like a ball he had to grab!

He loves to be outside, and I mean LOVES! I swear kids don't get cold, it was a pretty nice day though.

He can easily go up and down the stairs now, there is just no stopping him!

He was pretty tired after all that walking and playing!
Jaxen's new thing is wanting dadda to lift him up to put the "bask" basketball in the hoop, Branden got an over the door basketball hoop for Christmas. He just stands beneath the hoop with the ball in his hands and looks up at the hoop and sometimes say "bask" and "dadda".

We got to skype with some of my family so they could watch Jaxen eat another cupcake and sing him Happy Birthday!

I think he enjoyed his Birthday!
